New Players

On a Windsor thread on the non-league forum, there are rumours saying Andrew Fagan is signing for Chesham and Ryan O'Toole is in talks with a unnamed Ryman Premier division side.

If we are signing all of these new players, surely we have to make sure that we are utilising the reserve side as a link with the first team to keep our fringe players fit as well as bringing through the under 18 players from previous seasons.

Been told the five are Andrew Fagan, Kyle Anthony, Ryan Ashe, Jake Parsons and Ryan O'Toole!

Apparently Anthony and O'Toole were invited by SB as guests the other night!

Well Cookham, you seem to be wrong about O'Toole as he has posted on Facebook as having signed for Hayes & Yeading,

It will be interesting to see how he gets on in the conference south after playing so long in the CCL where the pace of the game was so slow. I think he may find it difficult scoring so frequently and may take some time to get into the starting line up after playing CCL. Good luck to him.

I prefer the young Ben Harris who is a very good player and is only going to get better.

The idea of signing five Windsor players was pretty ridiculous anyway. I suspect the reality is we had a look at one or two but they got better offers elsewhere or higher up the pryamid. Would they have improved us that much?

Jake Parsons, Kyle Anthony and Ben Harris probably would have !

Not being too familiar with any of them I can hardly dispute your claim HP9, but I'd say if they couldn't get Windsor out of the CC along with some of the others mentioned, I'm not sure they would fair any better in the division above.

Personally, I think Slough need to try and get the most out of what is a very large and probably quite expensive squad before we start bringing in more players en masse. Some of the existing squad have seemingly been written off after 2-3 games, and in Sean Fraser we've unearthed a very useful player from within the squad who wasn't getting a look in at the start of the season. Ed Smith, although not the 7ft powerhouse some of our fans are demanding has bagged 3 in 2 starts and maybe should have had more.

For me, we need to get the players we have better organised and playing to a system that suits them before we start throwing more money at any player that becomes available.

As SB has said if new players come in then some will have to leave, I would imagine to stick within the current budget.
