Hoddesden would be proud of this one sided, biased and very funny match report

Read the extra time where Cranfields management are exposed as dirty cheating time wasters. Hilarious

Cranfield United 4 - 1 Bush Hill Rangers - After Extra Time (1 - 1 After 90 minutes)

By Web Master | Wednesday 5th September 2012

Bush Hill put up a brave challenge and were unlucky in defeat

Bush Hill Rangers travelled to Cranfield United for their FA Vase replay after only one day rest. Unfortunately Bush Hill Rangers were depleted with six of their starting eleven unable to play in addition to four of their five substitutes also unavailable. This meant Bush Hill was missing a total of ten players from their sixteen from Sunday.

Bush Hill gave debuts to a total of six reserve team players this evening that all came into the side and impressed with another two more reserve team players on the bench as unused substitutes.

From the off Bush Hill had control of the game not allowing their counterparts any time to keep possession of the ball.

On 12 minutes Bush Hill went close through Hadi who was unlucky with two efforts at goal and had what we feel a stonewall penalty waved away for a foul on Robins in the penalty area.

Yildiz went close on 20 minutes after he beat two players on the flank then saw his shot go wide past the post.

Cranfield had their first effort at goal on 23 minutes after a deflected shot almost caught the debutant goalkeeper Hussein off guard but his stretched arm pushed the ball away to safety.

Bush Hill conceded as harsh penalty on 34 minutes after a free kick hit Nakanda's arm while he covered his face at the end of the wall. The referee pointed to the spot which was hit hard and low into the corner with Hussein managing to get a hand to it he was unable to stop it from creeping into the back of the net 1 – 0.

Bush Hill had another penalty appeal turned away after a cross hit the outstretched arm of the defender and went out of play, the referee awarded a corner.

Half time – Cranfield United 1 – 0 Bush Hill Rangers

Bush Hill Rangers came in at half time in buoyant mood as they had dominated proceedings and knew they would get back into this match.

Directly from kick off Bush Hill were on the front foot and a fine one two between Robins and Adams resulted in a shot by Adams which was saved by the goalkeeper at his near post.

Bush Hill scored a well deserved equalizer on 58 minuets after a swift passing move released Hadi on the left who cut inside and powered a shot at goal which was parried by the goalkeeper into the path of McLachlan who nodded the ball into the net 1 – 1.

On the 69 minute Cranfield received their second caution for a foul on McLachlan on the edge of the penalty area, but the resulting free kick was dealt with by the defence.

With Bush Hill applying more and more pressure on Cranfield they hit Bush Hill on the counter attack but the header at the back post went high over the bar.

On 81 minutes McLachlan was fouled again on the edge of the penalty area this time Robins' free kick just went over the bar.

It was clear the tactics were to stop Bush Hill playing by committing niggling fouls. By this time Cranfield had picked up four cautions.

End of normal time – Cranfield United 1 – 1 Bush Hill Rangers

On 95 minutes another dubious decision by the referee awarded Cranfield with a free kick on the wide right by the edge of the penalty area. The free kick was delivered into the box and diverted into the back of the net 2 – 1.

On 103 minutes Bush Hill made their first substitution replacing Yildiz with Cimdiken.

Half time of extra time – Cranfield United 2 – 1 Bush Hill Rangers

At this point now the dirty tactics started by the home team as they hid all the match balls leaving the one ball the teams were playing with and instructing their players to clear the ball off the field to waste time. This resulted in a confrontation between both benches as Bush Hill reclaimed one spare match ball hidden behind the back of a substitute on the Cranfield bench and as Bush Hill were trying to place the ball on the halfway line the manager of Cranfield pounced to try and take the ball back. Again the referee was not interested in dealing with this act of time wasting tactics of the home side.

For the final half of extra time Bush Hill pushed forward they were caught exposed at the back and conceded a further two goals.

Full time – Cranfield United 4 – 1 Bush Hill Rangers

Bush Hill Rangers were really pleased with their performance and feel they have represented the County League with dignity while a special mention goes to the Reserve team players that stepped up and proved they are capable of playing at a higher level. Once again our captain Dennis was immense in the middle of the park driving the team on. We were disappointed with the actions on the night by our opponents mainly the manager however as were are only focusing on our performance we left the ground with our heads held high, while Cranfield know they have earned an undeserved victory.

Bush Hill Rangers line up – Ferhat Hussein, Glodi Nakanda, Ross Garwood, Taylan Akkaya, Calvin Ecobichon-Gray, Kevin Dennis ©, Huseyin Yildiz, Philip Adams, Angus McLachlan, Finbarr Robins, Samir Hadi.

Sub used – Omer Cimdiken.

Unused subs – Ali Mustafa, Kamal Miah, Ibrahim Mehmet.

Goal scorer – Angus McLachlan.

Man of the Match – Kevin Dennis.

Attendance - 40
