Maybe I read to much between the lines, but is it just coincidence that Guernsey's needed Ground Improvements, could total £150,000.But low and behold along come the F.A.and BUDWEISER with a Great new scheme, much welcomed I must say by me to help Clubs at Step 5/7 improve their facilities.Closing date for bids 30th October,a month before having to apply for Promotion to Step 4.Now we all know raising £10k at Step 5 Level is nigh on impossible, but £150,000 is a dream. However with the great Professional way that we all know Guernsey FC are run, they will surely put in a very appealing bid for the £50,000.To get the other £100,000, I believe will be done by a vote,as they have the largest support in Step 5,along with 65,000 inhabitants,it should be a walk in the Park.Think of the publicity Budweiser, yes they like a bit of Publicity would get from it happening.Sales of Budweiser would soar at Footes Lane, and Guernsey as a whole.Wide National media coverage,BBC TV,GFCTV,Guernsey Press,NLP,even Matt le Tissier could give them a plug on Sky Sports.Maybe though I am being too cynical in my assumptions, only time will tell.

I'm not sure any amount of Budweiser sponsored fences would increase said drink's consumption over here.

............ not when you've got your own brewery in St Peter Port.

(or at least, you did have the last time I was over !)

Compared with Rev James, Old Hooky, Wadworth or Adnams, Budweiser is like drain water.
