Blues 3 Tonbridge 3

Just got there in time to miss the first goal, couldn’t believe it, only a couple of minutes late and we’re 1 down. However we played great football, lots of possession, passing and pressure, shots on target, could see a goal coming, and we got it, continued to play Tonbridge off the pitch for the rest of the first half and into the second getting a penalty to make it 3 : 1 really really great...then seemed to sit back 25 or so min’s into 2nd half, we went a bit defensive ? Tonbridge got it together, kept the pressure on and finally got a draw.....feel like we dropped two points...... but lots of positives from the way we played, if only we can keep going with the performance from the earlier part of the match, hopefully it will all come together soon.

Roll on Saturday

So disappointing to throw away two points like that, we see, to be losing a lot of late goals. Perhaps higher fitness levels in this league are a factor.

Lets look at the positives though- played some good stuff at times today, we looked good when we passed it and we put tonbridge under severe pressure at times. We've scored in every game for a total of 10 in 6. Anderson looked good going forward, thought he did ok for his first game although he might need to work on his defensive game, we shall see. Green looked very dangerous and has plenty of pace. Him and Anderson could be quite a force on the left. Lechmere was fantastic tonight, running at defenders and hassling them, perhaps he has found his best position in the centre.

Still unbeaten at home which cant be bad. Just need to correct the silly mistakes, build some confidence and we can definitely compete in this league.

PS How is a handball to deny a goal not a red card?

Hornchurch & Tonbridge are shaping up to be two of the weaker teams at this early stage of the season. The fact we've only managed draws at home against them is concerning. We seem capable of playing 40-50 mins of superb football but then fade, to our cost. Fitness? Also still flailing to capitalise on all the chances we create.

Onwards & upwards.

I still can't quite believe how we did not get 3 points from last night's game after dominating for 75% of it,I really can't remember the last time i felt so gutted after a blues game and that's including all 3 away defeats this season.

But the positives we didn't lose (still unbeaten at home) also played some of the best football i have seen this season.

Got a big game on Saturday now perform like we did last night and we will be fine.

We absolutely battered them to a 3-3 draw....how does that work?

We know how to attack for 90, but we also need to defend for 90.

We have improved every game this season, so i'm not too dissapointed, there were some very good perfomances out there last night

As the sign say's....Winners find a way.

It should be a corker on Saturday

Gutted with that result having dominated for the vast majority of the game. Only have ourselves to blaime. When MCS went off and we switched to 5 across the middle we just cudnt hold the ball up top. No sort of support was given to Osborne up top and we dropped deeper.

The equaliser was particularly frustrating as everyone could see the two centre halfs go up in the final minute yet they were not picked up by the right defenders. Consiquently won the header which was tapped in for the most undeserved point for a poor tonbridge side.

Not much more to add really to the above really. An entertaining game the vast majority of which we controlled. Fully deserved the two goal lead so it was disappointing to stop playing as we had done for the last ten minutes and end up having to settle for a point.

On the plus side the performance from the second to the 80th minute was the best for some time and if we can play like that for 90 minutes the wins will come.

Starting Saturday hopefully.

It's cruel game. Played 'em off the park and only took a point. Nathan Green MOTM for me, the man's a machine! That was an amazing goalmouth scramble as well!

Got to take the positives but the last 5 minutes were crazy. Beat Eastleigh on Saturday and this will be quickly forgotten. Could be another classic as their money/points ratio is poor.

PS. It took 'em less than a minute to starting cheating!
