We are SO much better when we play football in the other team's half but do so as a team, not just stretching ourselves so we're hitting it long.

I thought Rhone was excellent tonight once he found himself in the left wing position, Sean Fraser had a great game at right back and Ed Smith did superbly causing them problems all night. I hope we stick with a winning team and give them the chance to repeat that on Saturday despite more regular starters being available.

As I predicted earlier a routine rout of a truly dreadful team who managed one shot on target all night I agree that our best players were Rhone and Fraser although everyone looked good against a team that poor Some indiscipline creeping in again A less lenient ref would have dimissed Burnell who continued to argue after being booked despite half the stand screaming at him to shut up .

Convincing win in the end against a poor team and 10 men.Still you can only beat what's in front of you.Made hard work of it in the first half, though.

Thought Dominic Rhone had his best match for Slough so far and his pace could be the catalyst Slough desperately need to upset the opposition. At last,he got to play in the right position on the left wing/wing back this time out.His speed and runs were the highlight/biggest positive of the night for me.

Sean Fraser worked hard but a couple of his tackles were dodgy and given the ref sent off the Woodford bloke with a straight red card for one bad-timed tackle,I think Sean got a bit lucky not to go,too.

Ed Smith looked useful and at least,he is another forward.

Onward and upwards!

Not the best opposition, but pleasing to see a convincing win. The only downside, being critical, was that we could have got 8 or 9 if a bit more clinical in front of goal.

I was impressed by Ed Smith who led the line alongside Burnell very well, held up and spread the play well, and got into plenty of goal scoring positions. Also good games from Rhone and Swift, whose corner deliveries caused all kinds of problems, and we got into good positions out wide a number of times. The other thing I noticed was a few shots from outside the box - Burnell, Smith and Swift all tested the keeper from distance which I thought was good to see.

Good to see Perkins make an appearance also, I think he's important for us in the few games he plays.

Hopefully a good platform to kick on from.

Good confidence boosting win.

I thought Dom Rhone had an excellent game and was my MOTM.

As 3spirit has said it is his best position where he can hurt the opposition with his pace and skill.

The question is can Murphy and Rhone play in the same team? Hasn't worked so far.

Yes Woodford were poor but the pleasing thing for me was the style and manner of our victory. Lots of neat, short passing spreading the play and then early dangerous crosses.

Smith had an excellent game. He has a good first touch and decent movement and thoroughly deserved his goal.

Rhone had his best game for Slough and looked more confident and relaxed playing there.

Fraser mom for me, great shift at wing back and an assist.

Much harder tests to come but hope this gives them all a confidence boost as we could do with a good run.

Decent enough performance once we got going after a nervous first 25 minutes or so. I thought Fraser looked very useful bar a few slightly suspect tackles, but going forward he looked very good and will certainly be rivalling Ashley Deeney for that number 2 shirt and MOTM for me.

I liked the look of Smith too, seems to be a slightly different kind of striker to hold it up while also seeming to create some good runs with the ball and good chances.

A much better performance where we started to use the midfield and that style of passing football that works best for us. COYR!

A comfortable and deserved win, albeit against a very poor side. I honestly can't remember ever seeing a side quite so poor as Woodford were yesterday, although for much of the first half it was same old same old.

The positives were that hopefully this can get our recent performances and results out of our system. A nice confidence booster is a nice confidence booster, whoever you're playing.

The negatives were that we still weren't particularly clinical. Danny Burnell (I think) missed a couple of very good chances, as well as talking himself into one of the most pointless, unnecessary and avoidable bookings in football history!

Not wishing to downplay our performance yesterday, but I also saw nothing that persuaded me that a half-decent side with some pace wouldn't tear us to shreds. What I said after the Beaconsfield game I feel still stands.

But you can only beat what's in front of you, and we did that very well yesterday.

I thought Burnell had a cracking match last night, scoring and setting one up. He will always score goals but I think he's playing as well as I've seen in a Slough shirt. I don't recall him missing much last night, maybe one out wide at the end where a better choice would have been to cross but we were 4-0 up at that point.

What I liked about last night was the number of quality crosses we put into the box last night, both from set plays, but most pleasing were Dom's early whipped in crosses from the left - exactly the sort of service our vertically challenged strikers needs.

Glad we've bounced back from some dismal performances, let's hope we can keep the momentum going in the cup. COYR!
