Team v Uxbridge

I'm staying positive. We are 4 games into a long season and nothing is won or lost in September. I think it's unfortunate that some people seemingly look forward to us losing so they can have a good old vent when things go wrong. St Neots got off to a shaky start last season and their chairman, whatever you think of him, was always quick to stress that everyone should stick together and stay positive.

I too think there are areas the team needs strengthening in - especially in midfield. I'm hoping the manager will bring in reinforcements as and when required, as with previous seasons. I wasn't at Uxbridge yesterday, my last game was Beaconsfield, and I'm more concerned about the back-to-front tactic which was cutting the midfield out completely! It strikes me that this is what teams low in confidence do. Hopefully a good result on Tuesday will go some way to improving this.

today during the second half our performance was deplorable, mostly due to the lack of creativity /lack of fitness of our midfield, certain players really have to have a word with themselves, they were slow to move out of a deep area when required and just as slow to move back, constantly out of position which in one direction put the defence under pressure and in the other failed to supply the strikers with any decent balls, and what is this trying to walk the ball in to the net, i'm all for passing the ball but if you have a chance to shoot then shoot into the pack or a clear shot , shooting from distance does work as was shown by our second goal today but this happens far to infrequently. coyr
