Freezing under the Spotlight.

Smudge

Recommended Posts

Have been doing a little research into the affects of Players playing in front of the cameras, and how it affects their performance. Some Players like Guernsey thrive on it,others just freeze on the spot, and under perform or try to hard.

Examples.

Croydon lost 8-0

Cove lost 3-0

Dorking lost 6-0

Whereas. Camberley win 1-0 with no cameras present, what more proof would you want.

did I mention there were 2 video cameras at the Bedfont v Cove League Cup Final?? No freezing-under-the-spotlight there!!

:futbolbud2:

What a goal just gonna watch it again, the only freezing i have got is frame by frame as the ball hits the onion ha ha

Not one Cove player froze that day including the subs and management.

I firmly believe that part of that reason was the way the backroom staff prepared us mentally for that game. A team full of gladiators!

This is where you earned your money duncs

No disrespect to TRS,but you hardly announce your filming, unlike GFCTV setting themselves up on top of the Cove Clubhouse.Johnno you are cool dude, and well used to performing under pressure, you are made for the big stage.I still watch your Cup Final WORLDY daily, better than any pills the doctor recommends.

GFCTV did film at Camberley, it just wasn't streamed to the very small number of registered UK IP addresses at the request of the home club. Lots of others in Guernsey and elsewhere watched it.
