Dear Mr Deaner, Training Ground etc.....

Dear Mr Deaner,

Roy's letter to season ticket holders said that "the Training Ground issue is being addressed".

I did not know what that meant, but I heard some fans saying last night that apparently the team is having to train in a gym and do not have a training ground where they can practice "on the ground" moves.

If that is true, then maybe we should have some sympathy with them in the dismal performance last night and it would explain their totally exuberant celebration after the second goal - it really was in the face of all the odds! It must be difficult to deliver league winning performances if you are not having a chance to practice any of the set plays and open field tactics and would explain some of the overhit passes and inability to find recipients for a pass.

So what is being done and why are we in this situation in the first place? How can anybody expect a team to perform at its best without the basic facilities to get them thinking and moving as a well rehearsed team? The basic job of the Director(s) of a business is to ensure that the people who run the business have the best training and equipment/facilities and motivation to deliver performance better than the competition, as well as to ensure that the organisation is prepared for the future. They should also have a clear and inspirational Manager, so why are you persisting with this nonsense, nearly a fifth of the way into the season with an "Acting Manager"? Either he is good enough by now or he isn't; it's make your mind up time, surely?

It looks as if we need to be demonstrating to ensure that the team get all these things, as much as blaming them for not doing well, if they are being denied the best facilities to enable them to do so.

We expect and must get a top six finish - so come on Mr Deaner, you are in charge, get it sorted or are we going to get the usual silence and assurances of activity behind the scenes which NEVER EVER is visible.

PS has the feasibility study started yet and how will we know?
