Dream Over/FA Cup - Wembley exit

fair play to pearcey for embracing it, and telling us about it here. thanks for that.

I was interested to know what difference dropping 5/6 ex pros into a CCL side would do alongside international standard coaching.

Seemed to me in the first home game it gave Wembley good shape and allowed Wembleys better players to thrive.

Parlour showed you have to be reasonably fit or your in the way after ten minutes.

The biggest disapointment for me was that in the end it wasnt properly tried, as with many new ideas.

Having five reasonably fit ex pros in each fa cup game would probably have got Wembley further.

Keeping the original Wembley side would probably still have won the first game, and may well have beating Uxbridge away on the day.

I just feel it wasnt tried properly, and weve learned nothing.

Will Budweiser be happy with 3 games? Will it now go back to normal at Wembley FC?

Will it start again next August?

Will me old 'mucker' Gussy get his seat back on the bench ?

Watched the programme last night.

It appeared to me that Player/Manager Bates didn't agree with Venables about system and tactics......perhaps not as harmonious as one would like to think/believe ;) ?

Very basic coaching from Ray Parlour.....has he got his badges ?

4.2 on the multi-stage fitness test (otherwise known as the bleep test) is not a high score on the test and is not much more than a shuffle. It's used by many organisations as a means of testing the baseline fitness of an individual - hence these organisations have minimum levels to reach. It's easy to administer and can be done in confined spaces as the shuttles are 20 metres in length to an increasingly rapid bleep. A fit individual would be looking at a minimum of 10+ and those who train seriously at level 15+.
