Hookey
I've only seen Bowers 3 times this season but this was their best performance against a solid and experienced Basildon side that included Paul Shave and Bertie Brayley, who was by far the best player on the pitch. Bowers came from a goal down to win it with a goal from the returning Dean Allen, with an excellent shot on the turn. A fairly evenly contested game, that Basildon edged in the first half, largely due to Bowers' players trying to play Beckhamesque worldy passes which invariably found a Basildon player. After the restart, Bowers shortened up their game, which allowed them more possession and the time to pick out better passes. Quite an entertaining game to be fair.
