Won 2-1 after being a goal down in second half thanks to a penalty. Apparently scored winner in eighth minute of extra time ...

Lewes only drew two all away to Molesey...

roll on Saturday - i've managed to get out of work.

Daly and Steer scored for us---Steer 8 minutes into injury time. First 70 minutes were dreadful, then we played frantic catch up. We had a penalty saved, only for us to score from the rebound, but it was disallowed for encroaching into the area. Hit the post, and a few scrambles before the winner. Almost made me forget the dire first 70 minutes.

WOW what a match, granted we were bloody awful but not as bad as that ref?!? I no it's easy to blame the ref but how he can even ref at this level is beyond me???!!!

I always thought Spence was gonna miss that pen, and then the follow up was dissaloud!?

Some might say it's the 3 points that count and forget about the performance but i cant help but thinking that we got a (VERY) lucky escape tonight, Lewes wont be so willing to let us get away with a performance like that and WILL punish us!!!

See you all Saturday in the Witching town!!

Caught up in all the excitement I didn't know it was Steer who scored it... I thought it was Spencer ! But well done Danny Steer, I thought he had a decent game tonight. We can't say that about any of the others though, except maybe Daly, and Hodge did well in the first half I thought.

Let's hope we don't play like this on Saturday.... I don't fancy the long trip home having been hammered five or six nil... please !!

Strewth.

First up apologies again to Lord Chris Siliski who I shouted at mid-rant. I unfortunately fell into the zone where I thought the world was against me. I could not believe we were playing that badly and I thought their penalty was questionable to say the least. Little did I know what was to come. I intend to up the tranquilisers prior to the Lewes game.

Basically we were largely awful but miraculously got a result. Plus sides, the team kept going to the bitter end and seemed to show a good spirit. I think the ref was feeling guilty about his appalling decisions and decided to play till we won. Hurrah.

Didn't watch the game so can't really comment, but i've seen Slough play bad enough this season already to know that Lewes will seriously punish us if we're not up to scratch. They are the best side i've seen in the league by a long way. Still, they are having a little bit of a wobble at the moment and maybe with our supporters really getting behind the team we might pull something off - their new stand is also pretty impressive and with the loud Lewes support should be a really good atmosphere.

But please not a thrashing - i'd have to hide in my allotment shed for a week.

Tks to martin for his apology...really no problem...it gets to us all ! and really a woeful performance tonight...but interested to say once the supporters got behind the team as the cracks appearred in Corintian's defence and Slough did step up a gear...and I really think the supporters played their part in lifting the team..a few slag offs but generally good support...that did the trick !

well done supporters You played well !!!

do it agian every match and we are worth a one nil lead by the sear good support in this league !

see you all Saturday ...

That's football......

cheers chris <img src="/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
