ESL Compares to NATIONAWIDE div 3

Recommended Posts

I had the dubious pleasure of going to see Bury v Hull City last night...

And was asked how does the quality compare to the league I watch (ESL) my response was,

we can pass and we can score

I reckon a lot of the ESL players (not just ETFC) could make it at the Div 3 level given the right break and support.

Irony ON

We're easily good enough for Division 1 - possibly even the Premiership. If the likes of Spurs, Man United, Chelsea etc can play in the Premiership, then I'm sure we can.

Funnily enough, last season I had the dubious pleasure of watching Boston Utd v Bristol City (LDV). It was AWFUL. It was like watching a bad ESL game for twice the price and my cow-orker who I dragged along to the game still hasn't forgiven me.

Mind you, he's a Celtic fan so at least seeing a game with hardly any goals meant it wasn't a Celtic Euro game with plenty of goals from the other lot!
