Always do and it will get better this season was always going to be tough as it is a transition and the whole management reshuffle in Pre season meant we were always going to be behind and miss out on players.

Very good game played bt 2 sides who try to pass the ball rather than hoof it.Lions have won all 3 games and it's not hard to see why. Didn't stop them going behind after 2 minutes though they equalised after 5 and went in 2-1 up at half time courtesy of a well worked goal.

Lions came roaring out in the 2nd half and went 3-1 up after missing a few chances earlier. Southall kept plugging away and were rewarded with a penalty near the end which made for an interesting finish.

Smashing game played in the right spirit by 2 footballing sides who were a credit to their clubs and well reffed as well by Mr Moore. Some debate about the penalty but I thought he got it spot on (pardon the pun)

Very friendly welcome from Southall officials and I would recommend a visit. Just don't drive too fast in the potholed car park

CODICOTE V CRANFIELD UNITED HIGHLIGHTS

 

Good game at The Gosling. Adam Furness (3) and Kane Dougherty (moved from Langford) scored Cod's goals all in the first half. Furness got two penaltys and Cod got a third in the second half which was well saved. I was impressed by Manny Richardson in centre of midfield....he is a very good player that could easily play at a higher level IMO...remember his playing for Bedford Town Ressies last year.

An entertaining game with the bonus of two goals scored in a manner that i don't see often.

 

Stony Stratford were three up at half time, two in two minutes around the 10' mark, then another on 25. Straight from the kick off at the start of the second half they made it four when the striker, Mundy, i believe, took the tap from his team-mate, saw the keeper was on the edge of his area and lobbed him from the centre circle. Not something i've seen before.

 

Winslow got one back from a penalty, then a free kick given to them in their own area was taken by the keeper, who promptly scored with his kick! Think i've seen a keeper score once before!

 

Stratford made sure a comeback wasn't on the cards with the fifth five or so minutes from time, which was probably seen as a bit of a result for Winslow, having let in ten on Saturday...

 

Atcost stand/terrace on the halfway line, Hardstanding around both sides and one end, some put in over the close season according to the programme, along with a payhut and a secure entrance to the pitch for the players and ref.

 

Small but adequate clubhouse with food and hot drinks served from a hatch at the end.

 

A decent trip, taking an hour to get home, ground had more to it than i expected and a decent game made it even more enjoyable.
