We’ve got a bloke on the Forum folks (Derek) who has actually met Neil Armstrong in person, what an amazing opportunity to probe him and ask questions to our hearts content, yet Loosely totally ignores him and continues with his nonsense, I rest my case!

Oh JR, did you not say hello to the nice man who said that he met Neil Armstrong either?

I bet Keeps will be keen to say hello too and comment on how he met Neil Armstrong.

Obviously Adam will get here soon and have something interesting to say about the bloke who said he'd met Neil Armstrong as well.

I say Derek, no doubt you must feel it doubly hard this week having met Neil Armstrong, obviously like, I am sorry....

I was five when Apollo 17 'went' to the moon in 1972 and I can remember that quite clearly so why shouldn't a seven year old recall such a momentus event in 1969.

Armstrong was always very reluctant to talk about the moon landings and space programe in general compared to Aldrin though I know he did some interviews in later life.

Rhodes and I obviously feel disgusted that none of you are discussing the amazing meeting between Derek and the now deceased Neil Armstrong. I can't say how disappointed I am with all of you.

LATO - I always felt sorry for the astronaut unceremoniously left behind on Moon missions, in Apollo 11’s case Michael Collins remained in the Command Module Columbia while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the Moon’s surface. Aldrin and Collins are both still alive and must be heartbroken at the sad death of their Commander Armstrong.
