I was seven at the time, why shouldn't I remember it?

Okay, if you say so, but, like I said, I’ll be surprised if you did if you were only seven at the time

No, don't take my word for it. Invent any answer that suits you.

I'll tell you what Rhodesy, just to show that I have memories of the Apollo Program and the "Moon landing" I distinctly remember collecting those silver "coins" that my Dad got when he filled up his car with petrol that you then sorted into swaps and placed the unique ones in the Commemorative Folder/Card. The Card was blue.

Do you remember doing that or did your dad not have a car?

Loosely – I’m only saying that if you were only seven at the time how could you remember and you would surely be far more interested in other things such as Dr Who, the Adventures of Tin Tin, Whacky Races and the Banana Splits

Of course Rhodesy, I distinctly never remember reading The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings at age seven. I must have still been on the Beano.

No, my dad never once owned a car, he had no interest in driving. It’s funny how that saying ‘like father like son’ is so true isn’t it.

Was your Dad bitter and twisted as well?

I'm not bitter and twisted, I just believe in holding people to account which you don't seem to like, I wonder why that is!

I was fortunate to have met the man himself, very polite with no airs and graces. I can look at the moon and say, I spoke to the man who walked on its surface.

Let me know when you're going to try Rhodesy.

Loosely - Instead of commenting on Derek’s interesting post you just persist with your negativity, that says it all really

I think your penchant for desecrating threads about people who have died demonstrates the hypocrisy of your statement.

I only answer you in the hope it will occupy you long enough to distract you from ruining other peoples threads.

Derek – Fascinating, thanks for sharing that with us, was the meeting in the US out of interest or over here. By the way just ignore Loosely’s ignorance.
