Maybe Guernsey could play Ash Monday,rather than cancel their arrangements regards flying etc.

 

Nope as we have already arranged the details to play Guernsey on sat 8th sept, ko 1pm

Guernsey officials were rather miffed at Meadowbank when they got the Horley result.

 

Mobile phones were red-hot ! I must admit feeling sorry for them after all the arrangements had been made.

Changing and rearranging flights and hotels for 20 ish is not the easiest thing in the world at short notice. It's the scenario they hoped would not happen.

Dont need to make excuses Horley we more than good enough for their point and in fact could have won the game with a great chance quite late on. Horley were very well organised and Guernsey lacked spark, lots of possession but no real tempo to their forward movement and Ross Allen was hardly involved often taking too many touches or running into walls of Horley defenders.

 

No excuses - well done Horley great performance
