Southport - TOWNER
I;ve borrowed the below............. Big spending Whitehawk visit The Queen Elizabeth Stadium on Saturday afternoon for what will be the first fixture between the south coast club and Enfield Town. Defender Matt Lawrence has joined from Gillingham where he made 65+ starts in two seasons. The 38 year old has also played for Crystal Palace, Millwall, Wycombe Wanderers and Fulham in the football league. Centre forward Scott McGleish who played for Bristol Rovers and Barnet (on loan) last season has also moved to The Enclosed Ground. He had played in the football league from 1994 for various clubs including Leyton Orient and Colchester United. McGleish started his career in the Edgware Town attack alongside Town manager Steve Newing during the 1993/94 season before earning a move to Charlton Athletic. If that is all that have to offer than I'm sure Kirbs & co can see them off
Tom S
I seem to remember McGleish and Newing shredding the old Enfield for Edgware. Mind you I also seem to remember a certain George Borg at left back for Enfield in that game.
