stronger than last year agreed.personally not going ott until 6/7 games played, although i hope you are feeling the same come monday evening BD.

Yes-CK has 'strengthed' so far-but so have alot of other clubs-and we only really know what Margate have done in isolation.

Quite a few other clubs supporters are thinking the same about their teams at this stage of the season.

Up the 'Gate

Lowestoft It was saturday last year.

I was dissapointed in last saturday's home attendence, any one who follows non league should realise by now the Gate has a rather special team this year with a very strong squad. Shoot on sight seems to be one of the weapons in the armoury which makes for exiting football not to be missed. Never mind keeping a blank sheet defending, just carry on attacking.

Up The Gate

I rest my case. What a great spirited brave footballing performance by the Margate TEAM against against a very strong physical Lowestoft side who were very lucky to finish with 11 in their side. Eventually Football won on the day.

This performance must bring back ex supporters and the curious to see the next home game.

And having a new ground to play in helps re: Maidstone. Their results aren't particularly impressive but they are still gettng the numbers in. Having said that maybe that will change should their results continue to disappoint the fans attending.

Second highest crowd of the day after Lewes v Wealdstone. Lowestoft didn't bring many (counted only 16 behind the goal second half) so we had 400-plus home fans today.

Being on the programme stall, had a good look at the people coming through the turnstiles, there were quite a lot of Lowestoft supporters there today (not everyone goes from end to end), quite a few in the sitting area as well as the Hartsdown road end for the whole game.

Still think this is the year, the win at Bognor Regis must bring more supporters to Hartsdown, unbeaten and third in the table after 5 games as they say, what's not to like. Bargain entertainment for a tenner and even less for senior citizens and youngsters.

and its well worth snapping up one of the tickets deals on offer.

agreed, but a getting through to maybe the 4thQ of the FA Cup is even more important-thats the type of stuff that attracts the floating supporter, and keeps interest sustained until december with the knock on effect that they also come to league matches.

sadly-apart from the hard core-once you are out of the cups with associated publicity, the marginal customer goes to ground for autumn/winter.

Vital we win next saturday
