marksandwell
I'm sorry but I've got to say it.... Why did we not start with Rook, he has the presence, height and strength up front....and why is a quality player like Bodkin sitting on the bench yet again??????? BlueGate Alan
Agree about Rook Mark and was surprised Bods didnt play a part, plus no Robinson in squad???
SteveB
Someone mentioned on Saturday that Rook had been carrying a knock so maybe that was the reason.
I am Spartacus
Someone mentioned on Saturday that Rook had been carrying a knock so maybe that was the reason. The only Knock Rooky is carrying is the one that keeps knocking centrebacks over.
BlueGate Alan
He did have a slight back problem end of pre-season but is raring to go now, as can be heard on his interview with Wellsie!
marksandwell
What about Matt surely its not an overspill from their fallout at end of last season.. When CK signed Matt on a two year contract he knew how important he was to us, and how important he still is. Simply question would any of our current team like to play against Matt Bodkin?, I bet none of them would be keen.
michael
A matter of opinion, but i would similarly have bodkin below, stubbs, corneille avery and long in the pecking order across midfield. then chose between rhodes and bodkin as 5th in pecking order. that given-there may be games where one style of player is required more than another-thats the idea of a decent but small squad. they will all have a part to play

So you are saying in YOUR opinion that you would be happy for Matt Bodkin to leave and sign for another club in our League, please clarify. Coffin Ender
I was pointing out that if a player is not getting games at a club, and he is highly rated, then it surely won't be long before other clubs start sniffing around. Personally, I don't have strong opinions on the matter.
BlueGate Alan
I wouldnt want to see him go, is an integral part of our squad surely!
michael
Agree-integral part of the squad who both should and will get games-but maybe selective games-and not for me a 'must start' every game.
Blue Banshee
bloody well is a must start for me! But then who do we leave on the bench?
Always Gate
A must start, alongside Long,Cornielle or Avery and Murphy. With Rook and Whitnall up front
