If you could book a holiday next summer anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Recommended Posts

Travelled fairly extensively and the best place I have been to is probably Venice, although anywhere in Italy is good. Most of the Greek islands are nice, and Dubrovnik is spectacular. Parts of Asia are great places to visit, but the long flight times means for me that I wont be going back.

If the weathers nice though Cornwall and Kew Gardens are about as good as it gets.

Crete, Kos or Zakynthos in Greece - if I pay £500 I might be able to buy all three ;)

In the UK the Gower, Weymouth, Scarborough, Norwich and the Norfolk Broads, Witterings (Chichester) for a sunny weekend as well as day-trips in Bath, Malvern and Brecon.

Oxford is also a great place for a long weekend.

It sure is, and if like me you're a fan of Morse or Lewis it's a great opportunity to see some of the filming locations.

For me it would be a cruise. Did one this summer from Rome, down to the Greek islands and Turkey and back to Venice on Celebrity Silhouette.

So if money (and time) was not an issue, it would a round the world cruise!

If time/money was an issue (as it always is), then would simply cruise anywhere.....

A mate of mine takes trips on the Marco Polo out of Tilbury about three times a year and swears by it. Unfortunately seasickness problems means I can never consider one

My wife used to, but rarely has a problem on a cruise ship - I think the last time she did was at the start of a transatlantic crossing - since then she has been in force 8 and you barely get any movement on the larger ships. Okay a bit, but not as much as one would expect.

Leafy Dorking has been hosts to a TV crew for several weeks until July, filming a drama series for BBC, called 'Mayday'. starring Peter Firth, (He of 'Spooks').

Those of you that know Dorking, 'REDS BAR' in Dene Street, which used to be called 'The Jolly Butchers' features a lot. For the programme it's re-named as 'The Boars Head'.

Surely that's got to be Northumberland hasn't it, along the coastline between Newcastle and Berwick upon Tweed

Lovely town centre Dorking! Fantastic view from footy ground.

I've seen photos of Dorking's ground, and along with Arundel and Pershore it's very scenic indeed.
