Someone told me last week that our playing budget is £4,800 a week - I couldn't believe it!

 

All that money and we've taken just one point out of twelve in the league and we're out of the cup.

 

Amazing.

So exactly where does this information originate from YRE? Maybe it's right, maybe it's not, I don't know but don't put bald statements on here unless you have some back up. I don't imagine that many people are party to the exact playing budget figure.

I have no idea of the playing budget, and I'm not making excuses for anyone but I suspect that whether the budget is £4,000 or £40,000 per week, a good percentage of it goes on:

 

Brown, Smith, Campbell, McDonnell, Naylor, Oakes, Williams and De Souza.

 

That's 8 out of 10 of the probable first-choice outfield starting line-up, none of whom were available last night.

Remember a few years ago when that very first Saints site started. The bloke that did it called himself 'York Road Ender' did he not, and no-one knew who he was or something like that. Still got an e-mail address in my address book from the site to that effect. If you are saying LH is YRE, does that mean he did that old website and that it was in fact official?
