So how would you get Julian Assange out of the Ecuador embassy?

Recommended Posts

Now that Ecuador has granted political asylum to Wikileaks' Julian Assange, how would you get him out?

I am sure that we could come up with some imaginative ways of getting him out of the embassy and out of the UK. :)

Of course I am not saying that laws should be broken, but there must be some good ways to smuggle someone when probably he has both British and American eyes watching the embassy 24/7.

You could always claim that he's really John Inman's twin brother.

'I'm free!'

In a diplomatic trunk.

Problem is unless they shipped that trunk abroad say on a train, he would be arrested at the airport.

So maybe a trunk to say France by train where he would not be immediately arrested.

Of course, if he came through Heathrow, the baggage handlers would lose him in a second!

The USA will not want to lose the battle against him, though, and I personally don't see him lasting beyond the end of the year.

He will be done away with, I am quite sure of that.

It's quite simples!

Political asylum is political asylum.

Ecuador could quite easily issue him with one of their passports, then list him as an advisor, or cultural attache to the embassy, so granting him full diplomatic immunity.

He then walks out the front door. Of course, HMG would have to then request he leaves this country as persona non grata.

Don't think it'll come to that though.

Remember General Pinochet ?

You have to hand it to Ecuador for standing their ground, this has put the small South American Country on the map hasn't it

Like the one with Gary McKinnon you mean

Quite. I used to know somebody who worked quite high up in the CIA - his mantra was 'if you screw with the USA you will pay for it.' It doesn't matter, in their eyes, who you are. An enemy of the states is an enemy of the states, regardless of whether your name is Gary McKinnon or Osama Bin Laden.

The USA will now expect its lapdog (the UK) to get Assange on American soil a.s.a.p.

But they haven't got Gary McKinnon have they and they won't get Julian Assange

True, but I can't see that the USA will quit until Assange is 'brought to justice' in their eyes.

There are too many important people who control the USA (Rockefeller's, Rothschild's etc.) who could potentially be exposed by Assange, and these guys always win.

If Assange does trump them (and personally I hope he does), the domino effect around the world will be catastrophic for Obama, Cameron, Merkel etc. We could be witnessing a major revolution, just because of one man's bravery.

Is this official, given your work?

The only information that Rhodes is party to at work is how many people he has to supply tea and biscuits for at the Air Commodore's next meeting!
