Hello all,

 

Following the success of last years prediction league, I have decided to run it again for the upcoming season.

 

Prediction League 2012/13

 

1. Entrance Fee

It costs £5.00 to enter a team into the league. This must be paid to me at the earliest opportunity. 100% of the profits will go to the AFC Hornchurch Supporters Association. Anyone can enter the league at any point during the season

 

2. Predicting Results

Weekly fixtures will be posted on Sunday/Monday before the games are due to take place. Games can be predicted by entrants any time up until kick off of the match in question. 3 points will be awarded for the correct score and result, 1 point for the correct result. If the fixture is postponed or abandoned the fixture will be marked as VOID (e.g. no points will be awarded for that fixture).

 

3. Teams who fail to predict

If a team fails to predict a result (e.g. The person forgets to predict) the fixture will be predicted as "0-0".

 

4. Late entrants

If some enters the league late (e.g. they enter a team on week 10), they will start with 0 points.

 

5. League Winners/ Playoffs/ Wooden Spoon Award

The league winners will be the team which has recieved the most points. The next four teams below the winner will be entered into a 'playoff' scenario. The 2nd place team will predict scores v's 4th place team (and 3rd place team v's 4th). The team who has predicted the most points from each "semi final" will predict against each other to win a prize. The Wooden Spoon award is the team who has collected the fewest points.

 

6. Prizes

The league champion will recieve a trophy to keep for one season and must be returned.

The playoff winner will recieve £5.00

The wooden spoon winner will recieve a wooden spoon to keep.

 

7. Cheating

Anyone who has appeared to cheat can be deducted points on the decision of myself.

 

8. Cup Competitions

If the the match goes to extra time or penalties, the prediction will be marked on the scoreline at the end of 90mins.

 

9. Admin

The admin (myself) decision is final.

 

10. League Champions *New for 2012/13

Participants have until 3pm on Saturday 18th August to predict the Blue Square South league champions. 20 points will be awarded for a correct guess. Predictions made after will be ignored.

Count me in Jordan. Will do predictions when I get in. I go on holiday on Monday so will miss first 4 games of season so won't be able to give u entry fee until Bromley away earliest. I'll try get onto computer during holiday to predict but will see what happens
