I've seen some threads go off topic, but this one takes the biscuit.

but has it?

Well it went off topic when someone started to claim that you were a poor parent because you work hard and earn more money than someone else in my opinion. I wonder who brought that up.

dont you think that is part of the cause of broken britain...........people who dont earn decent money and shirk their responsibilities but want the same rewards as hardworking people?

We know why it went off topic and I agree that it is still tenuous.

K, those sizeist quips are hilarious, however, if you do happen to have a large custard cream on you, pop round. :P .

I never got ANY pocket money Rhodes, I had to go out and earn it

It was mainly to buy packets of the Soccer Stars stickers in the late sixties and early seventies, I did the odd 'bob a job' and 'penny for the guy' which you never see anymore do you.

Not a true entrepreneur then Rhodes, unless you did Carol Singing,Penny up the Wall, thats where the money was made.

did them both Smudge and got well paid for it....Carol was in class 13a, what a voice

Penny went to the local reform school - hence the position

Definitely people who shirk their responsibilities but I know a bloke who has six children, earns minimum wage and yet spends as much time as possible with his family. His kids are well mannered teenagers who study hard and all help around the house without complaint. They aren't on the streets at night and the ones old enough all have part-time jobs. They don't need money.

It's a well known fact that God only lets things grow until they are perfect. Some of us just get there quicker than others,

Lots of people work hard and make a credible contribution to society, but earn very little. Its wrong to judge a person or question their responsibilities because of the size of their pay packet.

I contribute by paying to put my kids through uni

Keeps – That’s exactly my point, not all parents can afford to do that unless they bankrupt themselves, it’s catch 22 as kids from less privileged families than yours suffer

Missunderstood - Thanks, like I said money is not my God, unlike Keeps, and I'm proud to be a Civil Servant working for Queen and Country

Keeps – No offence but I just think you’re motivated by money and as a result of your growing wealth you’ve become greedy, they say the more you’ve got the more you want don’t they!

I have met Mr & Mrs Keeps several times and have never found them other than really nice people. Money/wealth has never been a topic of conversation. Give it a rest please!

Horace – I didn’t say that they are not decent people did I and, as you said, Baby Keeps is a polite respectful lad which is so rare to see in this day and age of feral kids however it’s just Keeps bolshie attitude that lets the side down and he thinks he’s above everybody else.
