Stop this thread now,a young girl is missing.Lets pray she is OK,your comments about the Relatives are all second hand, from the Gutter Press. Some of your views are NO BETTER than theirs.

Of COURSE I pray she's OK. Fact - The gentleman in question, (not a 'blood' relative incidently), has served two years for possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply. I would be very disturbed indeed if any of my younger relatives were associating with him !

I won't offend the 99% or so of law abiding citizens of New Addington, but having worked on that estate for 6 months, lets just say it certainly wouldn't be on my top ten places of estates to live on !

Well you have certainly offended me by your Comments John, lived in New Addington for 20 years of my life, and proud of it.Once knew a bent copper, who shot himself in the head, for getting caught out whilst operating in the Flying Squad, does that make all Coppers Bent.

Yes.

RIP little lady.

The sooner complete wronguns are stopped from having children the better.

It doesn't matter where people live, that's not the issue. The issue is that people are having children who are not fit to parent the kids, end result is the kids suffer, sometimes to horrible extents.

And this is not about single parents etc.

Tias mother is obviously not fit to look after her so she spends the majority of the time at her grandmothers who is going out with her daughters ex who is a convicted crack dealer. Not exactly rocket science to work out they are wrong uns.why is this child not in care?

How can you stop "wronguns" as you put it, having children, and who do you think should decide who is a fit and proper person that can become a parent. That is the of kind of nonsense that bought the Nazi's into power, and that theory has now thankfully been rejected in all of the civilised world, apart from perhaps in the minds of a few Sun reading idiots.

Alan,i agree it is hard to stop but something needs to be done.

Maybe its more not giving hadouts or making it easy to support a child through handouts.

People need to think about whether they can afford a child and to wait until they can.

Its not hard to live your life to the point where you can afford it.

If you can't then how can you expect to give a child a decent life.

Valid point about the "handouts" and perhaps the answer is to have compulsory work programmes for the long term unemployed who have no inclination to work. Problem is though that if they still refuse to work and we stop their benefits innocent children suffer.

The trouble is, Smudge, that we are still technically in a recession.

People are being told to tighten their belts, and when there are bills and tax to pay it is very difficult for people. The last thing that they need is to see freeloading dimwits getting everything for free.

I grew up on a council estate in Cwmbran (near Newport in South Wales), and hardly anybody worked and about 90% of people claimed dole for disability. Funnily enough it didn't stop them from smoking and drinking in the estate pub all day. These morons only cared about taking and not giving. I recall once, there was a girl with 10 kids by different men who got over £100,000 a year on different benefits! Due to selfish, inconsiderate cretins like her, us tax-payers (especially the self-employed!) are getting ever-more squeezed dry for our hard-earned pennies.

We should stop paying out child benefits for families with three or more children - for the first child, you get the full child allowance and half that for the second and half again for the third. If you want four or more children, it's your responsibility to pay for them - not mine.

I will admit to sometimes thinking that it would be a great idea if we could get shot of these morons and financial drainers:

Build a bonfire, build a bonfire

Put the bankers on the top.

Chavs and MP's in the middle

and then burn the sodding lot.

Can't say that I disagree with removing child benefits. If someone can come up with a good argument why people should impose their choice to have children on taxpayers and cannot afford to bring a child up without benefits then I'm open to being dissuaded.

Smudge, I believe in going for the bankers, MP's and the benefits cheats in one go.

You and I, and I suspect the vast majority of people on here, play by the rules and pay our fair share through taxes.

When people don't play fair (whoever they are, whatever status in society) then that is unfair and must be remedied.

I don't believe in taking from the pot, although I could as I have slight autism (I have an almost 'total recall memory') but I choose not to. I'd rather somebody who is genuinely ill and cannot possibly work get paid a benefit instead.

If I do ever have children, I want to be in a position whereby I can help afford to pay for them. They will be my children and my responsibility. I think that is the key word - responsibility. We have a Human Rights Act, so should we also have a Human Responsibilities Act?

The thing is disfunctional families stick out a Country mile don't they, surely alarm bells rang loudly with the neighbours on that notorious New Addington Estate who must have seen the writing on the wall with what was going on with Tia's family and Stuart Hazell in-particular, someone should have whistle blown to Social Services or the Police.

Somebody might already have done that though, Rhodes.

A former team-mate of mine lives in Nottingham and has reported his neighbours for child abuse about 14 times. Social Services and Nottingham Plod have so far done nothing about it.

The little boy's parents are swingers and his Mum is known in the area for doing porn, being a hooker and also takes drugs with her partner. Yet, they won't take the boy away from her and he's being bullied by his peers in school because of what his Mum does.

They must be Freemasons or Illuminati or something, because Social Services usually will just take a child away at the first hint of trouble.

Well, for a start the children of today will be responsible for looking after us in our old age by becoming scientists, doctors, nurses and the police who keep us all safe most of the time.

IMO if we give kids a good start in life by financially supporting parents at a time when they are probably at the lowest point in their lives, cash-wise, then we all reap the benefit when they grow up to be decent members of society.

Smudge - What are you talking about, I think the neighbours probably all had a guilty concscience which was probably why they rallied round and started looking for Tia

Smudge,I heard an interview with a reporter on the radio yesterday where he described the threatening behaviour of many of the local residents on the estate. They simply didn't want people on the estate with one local telling the police they were not needed.

Problem with run down estates like these are that they are full of insular people who think that they are above the law and that everyone is against them.

You ever seen these reporters in action, they are the scum of the earth.Harassing people who do not want to talk to them, fighting one another for a pic, then twisting their words so that the uninformed like you believe it.The police used in Croydon for the past 2 weeks, are not local due to the OLYMPICS, they have been shipped in from Merseyside,Birmingham,Brighton,Hereford.New Addington is not run down,80% are Homeowners, bet you have never been there?

I cannot fault this at all, Eastside.

When I was at the Malvern v Evesham pre-season game (mentioned in my Blog) there was mention of a former cook of theirs, who had been done for an arson attack. The locals seemed to think he was 'hard done by' and 'didn't deserve a prison sentence as he's a ledge' ???

The very same people are now up in arms that Plod had the audacity to go in and arrest a nut-job on the estate with a firearm the other day...
