I hope she's found safe and well soon.

There's something not right about her family, in my opinion, though.

Yes, I've taken a keen interest in this case which reflects the society we sadly live in today and, as you say, something doesn't seem quite right. II see that the Police have already questionned Tia's Grandmother's boyfriend, who has served time in prison for possession of a machete, as recently as 2010, and dealing in crack cocaine in 2003 so it's all very worrying indeed, I dread to think what sort of life twelve year old Tia has had so far in such a disfunctional family and this may be instrumental in her disappearance.

This comprehensive article says it all about Tia Sharp's disfunctional family who are a typical and true reflection of the society we sadly live in today:

I hope the Daily Mail gets absolutely slaughtered for this piece of gutter journalism. If the rather unpleasant man in question really has committed a crime, how would it now be possible for him to have "a fair trial" now that his criminal past has been plastered all over their newspaper. Even if he is guilty a half decent lawyer would get the case dismissed because of their irresponsible action.

Tia's Grandmother escorted away from the home today by two detectives, and the house entered by forensic teams.

I'm not going to go too far into the back-ground of the 'witnesses', but as a parent AND a grand-parent, I don't think I would allow my young relatives to associate with a convicted crack dealer.

Smudge, I doubt anyone disagrees with your sentiments regarding Tia but requiring people to actually know what they are talking about may break this site.

Loosely - Like you you mean, people are always going to judge without knowing the full facts aren't they, it's human nature

Stop this thread now,a young girl is missing.Lets pray she is OK,your comments about the Relatives are all second hand, from the Gutter Press. Some of your views are NO BETTER than theirs.

Of COURSE I pray she's OK. Fact - The gentleman in question, (not a 'blood' relative incidently), has served two years for possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply. I would be very disturbed indeed if any of my younger relatives were associating with him !

I won't offend the 99% or so of law abiding citizens of New Addington, but having worked on that estate for 6 months, lets just say it certainly wouldn't be on my top ten places of estates to live on !

Cliff - there's none of us are going to go out let alone be equipped to investigate any of these things we discuss, we base our opinions on what we've read, heard or "deduced" based on past experience of reading, hearing, similar events. Some of us just like to display more extreme views whilst others prefer to be more moderate. In this case whilst we all dread the worst we can still hope for the best until that time that it is removed.

I know that you'll even decide to attempt to dig me out for saying the above, it won't be anything new, as EU says elsewhere, it's what you do - expecting you to change would be like suddenly encountering world peace. We can't hope for that.

RIP little lady.

The sooner complete wronguns are stopped from having children the better.

It doesn't matter where people live, that's not the issue. The issue is that people are having children who are not fit to parent the kids, end result is the kids suffer, sometimes to horrible extents.

And this is not about single parents etc.

Tias mother is obviously not fit to look after her so she spends the majority of the time at her grandmothers who is going out with her daughters ex who is a convicted crack dealer. Not exactly rocket science to work out they are wrong uns.why is this child not in care?

Not at all, I thought you made a good post. It's so sad that this has happened now just as we're all on such a high from the amazing

Olympic Games which has managed to lift the whole Country's spirits, well until this afternoon anyway

I apologise if I offended you Peter. I DID say the vast majority were law abiding citizens When I had to do six months working the Croydon area, I never particularly relished going up The Hill.

Incidently, I make NO apologies on my comments regarding the 'gentleman' who has obvioisly lied through his back teeth on television. All a bit obvious after his statement that he dropped her off on the estate to catch transport into Croydon centre, yet the police could find NO evidence of her having made that trip. I note that the Met Police have advised the general public NOT to approach him if they see him. They obviously are treating him as violent and dangerous. Maybe he has walked to the woods nearby and done the decent thing, a la Fred West !!

Obviously, the Grand-Mother is complicit and I imagine a charge of aiding and abetting or conspiracy.

Frankly, hanging would be too good for them ! I WON'T be listening to the do-gooders who will no doubt quote thieir abusive up-bringing as children from their own parents as an excuse for their actions.
