Croydon 3 v 1 Dorking, the scoreline does not reflect the game at all.A draw would of been a fair result in my opinion. The star of the show was the Referee, well in his eyes anyway Mr. Jonathan Creswick. The dreaded assessor was positioned in the stand,at no time was advantage played,6 bookings,3 rightly in my opinion,1 for the Penalty, one for a mistimed tackle, one for disputing a decision. The game was played in a competitive but friendly spirit by both sides, which they are to be commended for.Dorking are a Team in progress, that can only improve with more games under their belt. The highlight of the night,a perfectly struck freekick from Jason Thompson, that was brilliantly saved by Dan Coles in the Dorking Goal.Downside of the night,do not think I have ever been to a Midweek Game in my life, where the Homeside Players have left the Bar,some even never bothered to enter, before the Away Side have left.Keep enjoying your FREE FOOTBALL fellas, thought you won,you know a celebratory drink would not of gone amiss, true Team spirit!!!!! Await with baited breath the usual excuse, work in the morning,my remark every little helps,A CLUB CANNOT RUN ON FRESH AIR.

Whilst I agree in part, Smudge, not every player has the luxury of being able to work when he wants. Some of the players will have to get home to get a good nights sleep after a game.

If they work for themselves, or can work from home, then maybe they can stay on in the bar after. One player that I used to know never did away trips, and had to be substituted at half-time during mid-week games when we were at home because he had to look after his Quadriplegic daughter and the last bus home left the stop before the full-time whistle.

I'm sure it's not a case of 'we don't want to stick around' as I'm sure most players would. Maybe if week-night games kicked off at 19:00 it might help?

Yeah like when I was tagged, had to be in by 9.30pm,could only watch till half time.Always liked to read Player Profiles in the non league paper, was funny how many players, never had any money in their pockets,or never paid to watch a game.Likewise training,Traffic Congestion, working late, even though they were Milkman, get the gist.If it was free drinks, they would not turn up either?on yer bike.

I see your negativeity towards Croydon grows, to come in at half time 1 down was shocking, after we must of had 5-6 good chances and spending most of the time on the attack with dorking getting a desevered penalty on there only attack of the half. Second half was alot even but dorking still never really had a dangerous chance with our keeper not having to make a save most the night. In my opionon dorking were a poor side with 3 or 4 reckless tackles that could of really caused injured the players and Croydon being the better side, and after lossing 8-0 on Saturday the lads bounced straight back with a decent performance.

Be interested to hear from anyone at dorking who watched last night.

I think its bad manners not to go in the bar after, win or lose, work or not. Personally think it lack of respect for the other club or even your own in this case. When i used to do the fines if you left the club before 7pm on home games it was a fine, amazing not many people were fined (tight arses these footballers).

P.S Good result Croydon after Saturday.

Negativity Melts, what is negative about my post.Sorry, the Ref was excellent? The game was always in the bag for Croydon? All the Croydon players visited the bar?

You never have any positives from a game, for a team who took a 8-0 stuffing Saturday to play again Wednesday and give a performance against a side who won there 1st game show a bit of character. Yes the ref was poor, he always is. The players didn't stay in bar I don't agree with, u need to enjoy yourself.
