Just waiting for 3 Spirit's prediction, I wonder if he will agree with me? Also, bit surprised with Cookham Rebel

tipping Biggleswade

I won't be predicting because I haven't got a clue who will be champions.I don't believe Slough are any stronger than from the Slough team that started out last season, though.

I think the teams that will be contesting for the top spot will be Rugby, Biggleswade, Leighton, Burnham, Northwood, Slough, Uxbridge and possibly,Guildford.

Going to have to disagree with you on this one 3spirit, if anything, after what the players went through at the end of last season they will be stronger mentality and more motivated not to let it happen again.

Looking at things from the outside, the probable initial squad will be:

Warrington, Hawtree

A.Deeney, Brown, NBH, Woozley, Fowler, Murphy, Rhone

Burgess, Mason, Logie, D.Deeney, Swift, Perkins, Fraser

Abbey, Burnell, Sonner, Gritton, Bassey

In my opinion, the above squad of players is much stronger than what we had at the start of the last season! Ok, we have lost Sweeney (may return!), Coyne and Anderson but have added good players to supplement what we already had!

If, or should I say when, we win the league in April 2013, I fully expect Coyne to return and in the division above he will be even better!

Not sure if that's a big loss to be fair RR, cracking winger on his day but the system we play and pitches at our level don't suit his style of play, on a good surface Sinclair would tear teams apart!

TBF Sincs had one exceptional season and one good season with us.

If you read his tweets it seems he's just not interested anymore and has become lazy and would rather do nothing than put the effort in to get himself fit.

Shame because it's a wasted talent.

At the start of last season we had Charlie Mpi,Paul Coyne,Steve Smith,Steve Sinclair,Dom Marsala,Charlie Fanner,Chris Herron,Simon Sweeney,Ben Sturgees, George Coyle,Adam Martin and Shaun Byrne.

I think James Warrington is as good,if not better than Steve Smith. Ashley Deeney and Dominic Rhone look quality signings in what friendlies I've seen and Dave Deeney must be good as he seems the replacement for Paul Coyne [reserving my judgement on this, till we've played half a season].Sean Fraser looks versatile and able to fill in a number of positions.Leigh Mason has always been a good passer of the ball and thus able to create goal scoring opportunities. However,he has never been the quickest of players and suffered his fair share of injuries,so I suppose you could compare him to Shaun Byrne.Leigh's more creative but not as good a tackler or as versatile.

We've lost quality players in Simon Sweeney,Adam Martin,Steve Sinclair,Chris Herron and Paul Coyne. Also Charlie Mpi was no mug.

Further on in the season we had Chris Seeby,Jerome Anderson and the cameo appearances by Lloyd Owusu. You always expect players to come and go throughout the season.

I didn't include Martin Gritton or Theo Bassey or Liam Fowler in my comparison,as I haven't seen them play yet [hopefully rectify this, this afternoon at Chesham] or that they had signed when I wrote it.

Our squad currently looks balanced and if we have five strikers to choose from, who wouldn't be excited by that.I like the fact that Steve Bateman has bought in some younger players. It will be interesting to see how we line up in the first league game of the season.

In defence we have plenty of cover, even losing a player as good as Simon Sweeney,we still appear sound but only time will tell.

It was the centre of midfield that brought us the most problems last season and I'm fascinated to see what players are used regularly there this coming season.

Can't wait for the season to begin.........

CR, a bit early to say Bassey and Gritton will be in the squad.

Saw Bassey at Harrow and he didn't really get a look in. Looking at his profile it says that he is a Centre back?? so strange that he's turned up with us as a forward.

Haven't seen Martin Gritton but he's no spring chicken so getting himself fit to justify a place I see as the main issue with him.

CR,Paul Coyne is a very good footballer but his temperament let's him down. If we have a successful season,we may not need him back or want him!
