Did Ross Allen leave his shooting boots behind? :o

A good win for Camberley, and I gather that an Exeter City scout was at the game.

Me mate webby was marking him no problem ;)

From a neutral groundhopper on the NonLeagueMatters forum:-

"Guernsey romped away with the Division 1 title last season scoring at will. They chalked up eight last Saturday, whereas Camberley Town conceded four, so the big surprise here was that Guernsey slipped to a rare defeat. Guernsey had the ball for most of the first half, as Camberley Town defended resolutely, but after the break the home team changed tactics. Camberley Town played two substitutes and went on the offensive. They outplayed Guernsey and scored a worthy winner, when Junior Akonor’s shot was blocked, but he seized the rebound to net the only goal. Guernsey missed three late chances and were unusually subdued. Star Man: Dale Webb (Camberley Town)"

Westfield 2-1 Cobham

In truth we didnt deserve this based on our second half performance which was shocking. Started really well and should have wrapped the game up in first 1 miutes. Went ahead on the half hour mark when Cobham defencder headed into his own net. They werent great at the back at all and had an old slower guy who tried to play the ball out and nearly every time lost it but we wasted some glorious chances.

Second half we went to pieces and they grew in confidence, A half decent outfit would have punished us and the deservedly drew level via a deflected free kick. They missed 2 glorious chances but in injury time Matt Steer smashed home a wonderful 25 yard free kick to sneak the 3 points. Still a win's and win and thats 6 from 6 but massive drop in performance levels from Saturday where we were excellent

C&H 0-3 South Park

Thought C&H were much improved from last season, had a good first half and were the better side in my opinion, but we defended well, not giving them any real clear cut chances. Went ahead 1-0 against the run of play really through a great header from Lavery.

Second half playing with the hill we settled a lot better and were more comfortable going forward and defending, having a lot of the possession. We got another couple through a solo effort from Lavery and George Smith adding to his weekend hat trick.

Pleasing first two games.

Great start for your boys Milesy. Better put you up there with Cove as my ones to watch. See Cove have quietly won 2 and no-one is taking any notice of them :)

Cheers Kroons. Wasn't sure what to expect from the start losing last seasons captain and also left back both to Horley, but we've started very well. I had Cove down as my team to watch in the other thread, know some of the players DT has brought in and knowing him he has a few more tricks up his sleeve!

Milesy is george smith a new lad

No mate, rejoined us midway through last season, was kind of in and out the side but looked impressive pre season and with our top scorer from last season away for 3 weeks, has taken his chance very well.

Personally I dont think that Cove should be added to one's to watch already, its only 2 games into the season and they've only played teams that finished very low in last years league table.

And.....

Trust in Kroons :)
