Frankie Curley sending off

Eastside Urchin

Recommended Posts

Maidstones twitter feed have just posted a you tube clip of the game from Saturday which involved the sending off of two players.

After looking at it,it seems the main perpertrator is the maidstone lad who launches into Frankie with a very nasty kick, studs up to his side.

Frankie then retaliates by pushing the bloke in the chest but I defy anyone to not act in such a way after what is a vicious attack by the player.

For him to get sent off in a friendly for such a thing is quite frankly a joke and to receive a 3 match ban is an even bigger joke.Surely if this was to be looked at it should be at least downgraded to a 1 match ban or nothing.

I think maybe a review needs to happen on this. It all started when the Maidstone player held Frankie Curley's shirt.

I'm not sure if the Maidstone player misinterpreted Frankie turning around to look for the ball as an attack but he did then kick out at Frankie with studs showing. I don't think there was any contact from Frankie. if there was it was minimal and not intentional.

It all kicked off from there.

Still think the ref should have forced both players to be substituted.

Martin Touhy got sent off just a quick shove on a Canvey player (who I assume is still needing councilling after the traumatic experience he had the way he went down holding his face).

So I suppose it depends on the ref.

Looking at it the kick out it was double and done with intent so that should of been a sending off, With curley's although a friendly and the ref should more talk then keep going to his cards but looking at it the ref sent him off for the push to the face/neck to the maidstone player. going into the connie south now we have to look at referees will just go straight for their cards!!! and we cant keep shouting at the ref or raising our hands....

Although still a friendly its classed as a red card :(
