The BBC is in a mess, and Mr. Murdoch is going to use this as an excuse to try and trump them with the help of DC. Would not be surprised to see him try a take-over of the BBC or at least try to get the Royal Charter post 2016.

 

One story that has not been mentioned (and Mr. Panther might be interested in this) is the gratuitous nudity on display at the start of their Holiday 86 programme.
