theoldman
Just to correct a couple of points about Carl. He has never played for Folkestone. He only played for Sittingbourne as a 14 year old, in their Centre of Excellence. He has never played a league game for Whitstable, only 45 minutes in a friendly before Steve Lovell signed him for Hastings. He started as a centre half at Deal, was switched to a forward at Hastings and currently has approximately 170 league goals, the majority of these in the Ryman Premier. Not sure how many appearances he has made.

michael
Oh dear : I read in todays NLP that Carl Rook found one of the attractions of signing for Margate being the 'very flat' pitch. Now whilst it is a very good pitch as he also states-i am not everyone would agree that it is a very flat pitch-less than it was-but still a heck of a slope ! Maybe CK sneakily showed him a different pitch-or more worryingly-CR needs to visit specsavers-so thats why he does'nt score that many ! Great signing though. I hope he forgets about the play 'nice' football stuff though- nice is usually for losers: I want to see some brutal but effective and winning football-lucky goals off Rooks backside-but winners just the same
