There are 36 entrants this year ... the first League will be published on Saturday Evening after Margate play Kingstonian

 

The League positions after Margate play Lowestoft will determine the draw for the Champions League.

 

As I promised, the Champions League will be long drawn out.

How The CHAMPIONS LEAGUE works

 

After 4 Margate matches the positions of the Players will determine which of the 4 Champions League Divisions the players will go in

1 5 9 13 17 21 25 29 33 in Div A

2 6 10 14 18 22 26 30 34 in Div B

3 7 11 15 19 23 27 31 35 in Div C

4 8 12 16 20 24 28 32 36 in Div D

 

The Champions League will comprise of 4 Divisions of 9 ... Those 9 'play each other' twice - the mini Leagues will determine the draw for the knockout stage (using a seeding system)

 

The Bottom Two in each division play in the first knockout round

then the other 28 join the winning 4 teams in the 2nd knockout round

Winning 16 teams in 3rd knockout round

Winning 8 teams in 4th knockout round

Winning 4 teams in Semi Final

Winning 2 teams in Final

 

The way results are determined will be by the League Position of Margate opponents on the days of Champions League ‘Matches’ (its more complicated to explain than it is to work out) – but player 1 (say PeterW) predicts Bognor 5th & player B (say Cookie) predicts Bognor 8th if Bognor are 7th the head-to-head result is Cookie 1 PeterW 2 (and Cookie wins).
