BTFCconfsouth
I have only been watching supporting BTFC for a short while as I moved here towards the beginning of last year. Although it was a pre season friendly, I do feel you need to be a lot my physical in defence. Going forward you I thought you were exceptional in the first half. I think it was your number 8 who really stood out for me. I really want to see you guys to well, as your club has a lot of history and would be great to see you get back to the top end of non league football. Good luck for the season. The Crowing Cockerel
7-0 is a spanking! Why on earth are we consistently fielding a couple of kids in goal? (Although playing them simultaneously might be an idea for the future!) Where is Noel Imber? Surely we should have shown Billericay much more respect by fielding as strong a side as possible. This can hardly have been confidence building for the lads. Perhaps our squad is nowhere near strong enough for the Ryman Prem?!
Steve Newing
I understand Noel has been on his family holiday as has Steve ( both are back now ) . Kirby and Kendall were unavailable due to work and Michael Ewang was injured. What with Gio getting injured and having to be withdrawn at half time you can see that the defensive spine of our team was missing. I attended the members meeting last night and both Steve and Jason made the point that as always results do not matter in pre season it is performances of individuals and getting match time. Steve made the point that results in all his pre seasons have never been the best it us used purely to gear up for the kick off on the first Saturday of the campaign. Hey CC you've beaten an ETFC/British/ European and while it's topical Olympic record in hitting that panic button with at least 3 pre-season friendlies to go. I agree with 'comeon' Pre-Season's results mean nothing, the fact the BTFC fella commended our attack is positive, we still have many missing due to hol's and work. thecoldend
CrowingCockeral where you not at the Norwich game? Thought we played well in that one especially in first half. Going forward and in midfield Steve now has lots of options and lots of competition for starting XI places.... We have some great defenders and arguably the best keeper the club has ever had in Noel Imber. Early days yet but I think Tyler Campbell is going to have a fantastic season..
