Dagger03
Tuesday 31-July-2012 HORNCHURCH 1 WOKING 1 HFC – Joe Woolley – James Love – Alex Bentley – Reiss Noel – Paul Goodacre – Sam Cutler – Jon Hunt – Simon Glover – Martin Tuohy – Lewis Smith – Fola Orilonishe Second half substitutions – Elliot Styles for Goodacre 58 Tambeson Hunt for Eyong 63 Andy Tomlinson for Glover 69 Joey May for Cutler 71 Aaron Gayle for Smith 71 Leon McKenzie for Tuohy 76 Woking – Aaron Howe – Adam Newton – Adam Doyle – Mark Ricketts – Joe McNerney – Brett Johnson – Loick Pires – Lee Sawyer – Bradley Bubb – Brett Williams – Kevin Betsy Subs – Renee Steer for Doyle 54 Jesse DeLarson for McNerney 54 Nathan Livins for Pires 54 Jack Parkinson for Sawyer 63 Dean Sinclair for Betsy 63 Jay Davis for Newton 63 Scorers Hunt 3 (H) Pires 51 (W) Hornchurch started strongly and took the lead in the third minute when Lewis Smith was fouled thirty yards out, and JON HUNT hammered in a hard left footed kick around the defensive wall and into the net. Hornchurch continued to press, and Lewis Smith weaved his way into a shooting position following a Hunt pass, but his shot hit and defender and went out for a corner. Smith again went close with a hard drive, whilst Martin Tuohy fired a shot narrowly wide. Fola Orilonishe on the left sent over two dangerous crosses, both of which were well fielded by keeper Aaron Howe. At the other end Joe Woolley was rarely troubled, although Woking always looked dangerous, but Paul Goodacre comfortably controlled the centre, and Reiss Noel made two excellent tackles to deny Bradley Bubb from getting a shot in. Woking leveled six minutes into the second half when LOICK PIRES neatly rounded Woolley and glided the ball into the net. Both sides had chances to score, though play was broken up by a succession of substitutions. Elliot Styles came on and mopped up most of what Woking could offer, and at the other end Alex Bradley opened up the visiting defence with some telling through passes. Woking pressed strongly in the final few minutes but the closest they came was with a shot which went high over the bar.
Eastside Urchin
No idea how strong a woking side that was,I would be surprised if it was their strongest side as I think only about 4 of their fans turned up and had it been full strength I would of expected a few more from them. Saying that,I recognise a few of the names so it could of been quite strong.Thought we were the better side for long periods and played some good stuff, their goal was a mistake at the back and after the goal they did look stronger. The attendance I think was 91 which, pre season or not is woeful when it costs money to stage the game and season ticket holders are admitted free, wouldn't be surprised if we actually made a loss on the night which isn't good at all, let's hope people turn out next week and the week after and then again at the start of the season (people on holiday are excused lol)

Eastside Urchin
I agree,i know pre season games are not everyones cup of tea but you would expect at least double that for a Conference National side coming down whether it was a late arrangement or not. And anyone who turned up late to avoid paying, and there was plenty should hang their head in shame.

Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
agree attendance was shocking, but was a late arranged fixture, dont know if that wouldve made a difference. Personally i didnt think that there was much between the teams. Im sure we couldve had a few more goals if we werent flagged offside all the time. Hope Arron Gayle make a recovery from his very bad injury. Team looked good and would be interesting to know if we will be signning anyone else before the season starts and into the beginning of the season. cup of tea
Decent performances, looking okay. Lewis Smith looked sharp, Bentley looks useful, good pace from Love. There was some good link up play between Fola, Lewis and Alex at one point. Got torn apart for the goal but Woking have some decent players themselves - their guy took their chance well. Crowd was disappointing to say the least.
