Dont know the full details but I understand Dorking have once again been subject to more acts of vandilism. Sure JR will know more if he isnt out there hunting the scum down.

Just been notified by Whitelaw, (thanks Alan) that the reverse fixtures apply and that Meadowbank has been vandalised YET AGAIN and that DFC play away at Hartley this Saturday.

As far as the vandals are concerned, I know nothing as it appears now NOT to be within my remit.

HOWEVER.... The old pub beside the ground that was 'The Malthouse', and has now been converted into a state of the art YOOF CENTRE by S.C.C. and Waitrose at a cost of over a million quid, opened recently. Need I say any more.

DOUBLE HOWEVER.....

J.W. Sainsbury's want to purchase the YOOF CENTRE and build another one elsewhere.....

Speaks volumes for the future of the Meadowbank pitch. My in house 'spies' are eagerly awaiting the sooper-dooper Sainsbury's planning applications with interest, which are due out very shortly.

Watch this space.

So it might not be just the 'little sprogs from hell' who are behind the attacks on Dorking? Sounds like corporate Skullduggery and Treachery!

'Force Dorking out, so they can build a Superstore.'.. well I just hope that the culprits will be identified soon and brought to book.

If they want the land that badly, at least promise to build Dorking a suitable ground elsewhere before the store goes up. Looking at Dorking on Google Earth, there seems to be some land west of an industrial area by Dorking West station which could be utilised.

I really think it best if I don't comment further at this stage in time.

..... apart from, I did hear some very interesting 'rumours' yesterday, which, unfortunately must remain 'secret squirrel' for the time being as we all know how unfounded rumours can turn out to be. I will say that one of them has some very substantial substance to it.

J.W.S. are to, (allegedly), go public with their planning proposals very shortly. It really is a case of watch this space !

dorking wanderers were vandalised recently too, I dont think sainsburys are building that big a store.

the land you have seen Adam is going to be used for industrial estate/road.

those familar with DFC may have seen the brook which runs between the ground and MS carpark/ malthouse

I think that brook is the border of any development.

DFC could be used as a handy storage and plant park for any development.

if "they" knocked the club down for a year and rebuilt with a youth centre and improved pitch Id be happy.

Just had a look at the VERY UNOFFICIAL and guesstimate size of the proposed J.W.S.

It is ESTIMATED that it will be as large as, or slightly bigger than the Leatherhead Tesco's, (for those of you with knowledge of Leatherhead).

Afraid to say it doesn't come as much of a suprise. We we went back to get changed there after our friendly a couple of weeks back there were literally 30 kids in the underground car park (m&s) right next to the ground riding Motor bikes around smashing bottles against the wall etc and abusing the brave shopper who parked down there. Need to get onto your beat bobbys to move them away

They are pretty much always there if the skateboarders arent.

Although weve been vandalised before, and robbed its not every day!

I just cant see what level of vandalism would cause a game to be switched.

Its not midweek or winter, we dont need floodlights. I couldnt see anything obvious when I had a look.

We could get footballs if theyve been knicked. posts, nets, all getable.

Pitch is never great so I assume that, if damaged, could be repaired.

I havent been in the changing rooms since the seventies. I expect they are much the same...

Even if they knicked all the bar stock, we could play football. ( i couldnt watch it sober but they could play!)

People on here are blaming

the kids from the youth centre, who go there to have somewhere decent to hangout and do things

some supermarket conspiracy

bunch of kids who hang aroung the car park

now we did have a load of visitors for the bike ride, including massive security and police, and there was a "big weekend" on the rec next the ground, but that was apparently a family thing with no booze.

so what has happened that means a game is switched?

and with only FA comp games at home for a while does anyone know what happens if the home side cant play at home, assuming whatever happened cant be fixed this week or next week?

has trs got any video evidence?

has smudge been told?

Did BJR cut up rough when the asahi went up to four quid a pint?

weve got Guernsey soon, is this just a ploy to switch that and go to Guernsey in the "summer"?

Anyone a bit more cynical than I (!) might wonder why all our "home" friendlies were played at Brockham and we cant host our first game.

having spoken with the man in charge at yesterdays game I was assured that Meadowbank will be fit to host next weekends FA cup match, following some vandalism.

Im not sure what is being done this week that couldnt have been done last week, but I too would like to thank the league and Hartley Wintney FC for accomodating Dorking during its difficulties.

I also apologise for my part in adding to the conspiracy theories surrounding Dorking FC.

There's quite enough turmoil at the club without inventing stuff.
