I was prepared to cringe, at times it was bonkers - Kenneth Branagh wandering around looking like Abraham Lincoln sucking on a doo doo but apart from Paul "Ken Dodd" McCartney who was dire I thought it was amazing. Finally I'm starting to get a hold on my "culture". Just a shame that so much of the rest of the world will miss some of the references. Her Madge was game for a laugh which was good and overall wasn't it ultimately a very professional and inspiring Opening Ceremony?
