Knaphill 1-3 Chertsey Town

Decent game for a friendly and always good to visit Knaphill. Pomroy put Chertsey ahead in the first minute and johnno got a neat second (no video evidence, sorry!) to go in 0-2 at the break. They went further ahead in the 2nd half, before Knaphill got one back with probably the goal of the game. Knappers should do OK in Div 1 on this evidence, although they did appear to pick up a couple of injuries. I think the ref must have got a new whistle in the close season, as he was keen to blow it at every opportunity :)

Went to Godalming v Staines. Decent game but I really hope for Staines that it wasnt their first team !!! Godalming well organised and I would imagine they will be a decent side in the Southern League this year.

Camberley beat an Aldershot Xi 3-2

Guernsey FC 4 Jersey Scottish 2

A pretty routine win with 2 sloppy goals conceeded. For some reason Our no 1 keeper Tardif was in goal for Jersey Scottish ! Ross Allen got 2 goals, Ben Coulter and Joe Alvarez with the other 2. Tardif no chance with any to be honest. A good work out for the lads before our 1st game of the season.

Camberley 3 Aldershot XI 2 good game with a couple of excellent goals one by Camberley with an excellent volley and an Aldershot direct free kick from the edge of the area, one sour point as far as I'am concerned is that we have apparently let go our very young keeper from last season who never let us down and is just learning his trade, any CCL clubs needing a young keeper with loads of potential snap him up.

The turn out was really poor ( 200 ish ? ). It was mainly the die hards that were there probably due to the change of venue. Although in my opinion The Track worked really well as a GFC venue. We were closer to the pitch and the 'singers' could all stand together in the stand and we made a lot of noise !

to be fair think tardif messed up for alvarez goal but not the others. it was a very low turn out but be interesting to see the turn out next week that will be the telling signs of how the locals are going to responed this season. you and your gang were making a fair amount of noise i must say some of our players did look confussed at the songs especially ben coulter.
