I heard that next season Rayners Lane will definitely be in the Combined Counties, as the Hellenic League at Step 6 is undergoing severe change - most likely one league instead of two.

Inbetweener, we are still at Cobham, although we are getting down some roots in the Sutton area - having taken over Stanley Park for our youth and Vets sides - it will never come up to CCL ground requirements, but it is a start with the council.

 

We are continuing to discuss other options with them - but it is slow going

Mole Valley SCR 2 v 1 South Park

 

Decent game and good workout for both sides, always enjoy games against Park, good side and really nice people off the pitch.

 

Park lead early on before we equalised on the half hour.

 

We got a penalty for handball early in the second half, which looked harsh to be fair, and went 2-1 up.

 

Park missed a couple of gilt edged chances to level and hit the post, whilst we hit the bar late on (but didn't really test Wastell other than that)

 

Good to catch up with Max Power early in the game.

 

Yeah good to catch up Briggers - did you get any decent photos after I eventually stopped talking to you?

 

All the best for the season - how's the lad who did his knee, has he torn ligaments?

Is Steve Duff back in the country JJ and if he is have you managed to aquire his services?I will be at some of your games again this season so good luck lets hope you get off to a good start don't worry about frienndlie results they mean feck all so long as your happy with the effort from your players thats what there for, you don't get any points for them.

Took a few decent ones, which i am hoping to pop onto our site sometime today, so will share with your site. Real issue with bright sunlight and shadows, so not as good as i had hoped for.

 

Haven't heard officially, but from all accounts he did the other knee last year and the pain etc was the same as that, so it doesn't look good.

We have kept a couple Inbetweener, but most have moved on - Liam Holden to Farnborough, George Murphy to Chipstead, a couple have retired - we will be a very young side this year, but hopefully a years learning in Div 1 will do them the world of good, and we can look to try and move back to the Premier Division in a few years time.

 

Totally realistic about our ambitions for this season, but surprisingly really feeling very positive about the way we are moving forward.

No mate he's not. Think he is back in November for a bit.

 

Im not worried about our friendly matches. Have been around too long to know they mean bugger all. Its all about getting match fit, match sharp and a good squad prepared.
