TheColdEnd - You always manage to change the subject don't you! What makes you think Risborough Rangers will do well this season, have you got inside information.

Cold end is on the subject

Karen - Okay put yourself in Pete the Greek's position then, it's the last minute of the Challenge Trophy Final involving Welwyn Garden City and Brett Leader sends a 60 yard Glenn Hoddle style pass to Ade Osobu who is through on goal with only the keeper to beat but was fractionally offside, would you flag.

I don't think he would flag... Due to bring out of position and behind play ;)

Based on what iv watched at games and read about on here so far id say Dunstable town will take the prem, as for my team id be hoping for a top 5 finish but with a lot of new players it may be a slow start . As for div1 id say hoddy should walk it with the signings they have made although harpenden looked strong against berko a couple of saturdays ago. Not too sure about div2, would like to see risboro come up as they seem to do pretty well in the challenge cup and would be competitive in div1.

So you believe that PTG is such a competent official that he would would be given the Challenge Trophy final twice in 3 years (this is the 2012/13 prediction thread after all)

Karen - When I attend a game the first thing I look for in the programme is where the Officials are from, if there is one from within a radius of 5 miles from either Club I raise my eyebrows

Surely a GOOD club secretary would be rubbing his/her hands with glee at the fact that the officials mileage is so low

Yes but that only applies to the home Club doesn't it, what about the visiting Club when they see one of the Officials lives a stones throw from the ground and has heard on the grapevine that he has very close ties to that Club

Most (if not all of the referees and assistant referees) all live within the SSMFL area so we may as well give up as the likelihood of one of the three appointed officials living close to the home side's grounds in any game is high thus making them not "impartial".

PTG, if Rhodes had his way, your next match will be Buckie Thistle v Wick Academy in the Highland League although Buckie is a little close to North London (as the crow flys) so you may favour the home side.

No, not at all, I'm speaking generally

I have been to loads of SSMFL games and never heard of this "grapevine" or heard anyone comment the the ref or assistant ref is from (insert team name) so will obviously favour them.

This is a silly argument IMO Rhodes

So if you went to a Haringey Borough match, at Coles Park or elsewhere, and saw in the programme that one of the Officials was from Haringey you wouldn't raise an eyebrow then

No.

I've been to Cheshunt matches with officials from Cheshunt, Enfield matches with officials from Enfield.

And many many more examples. Including the football league, although on that occasion the official was nearer the away team

Okay, put it this way, Howard Webb is from Rotherham, would the Football League allocate him a Rotherham United league fixture

Okay, put it this way, Howard Webb is from Rotherham, what has this got to do with SSML 2012-13 predictions?

There is at least one Referee that lives closer to Coles Park than me and has officiated at the ground but I don't see you highlighting him on this forum so for you to carry on with this nonsense shows that you have your own personal vendetta against me. See, that's a fact not a silly opinion.

Numerous people have posted on this subject from many Clubs and not one is buying into what you say.

Here is another fact for you.

The world population runs into billions but only one is banned from Coles Park.

You are truly unique.

You are one in a billion. :P
