Rother
Windsor 1-3 Wycombe Very impressed with Windsor. Against obviously decent opposition we were never given much time on the ball but passed it about in tight positions very well, rarely resorting to the long ball which did rather characterise our play when under pressure last season. Ryan and Jake Parsons were absent, as was Kyle Anthony, so 3 important players missing but new boys Tripp and Houghton looked like excellent acquisitions and young Ben Harris has matured into a strong and lively forward with some very nice footwork, especially evident when bagging his goal. Not a great deal of goalmouth action but I enjoyed the game - if we build on that then there's plenty to look forward to.
pearcey no.1
Always nice to entertain a pro club. Jamie Houghton is great lad and a decent player he will be sorely missed at egham!

The Mayor Of Simpleton
I heard that Gareth Ainsworth got a goal for Wycombe. How old is he now? Must surely be in early 40s as I can remember him playing when I was eight or nine...
Rother
He's 39, but still looked the fastest player on the pitch when he came on. Always rather liked him, espec. after his spell as QPR caretaker manager a few years ago which he handled well after being chucked in at the deep end when Dowie was sacked. Only a couple of years, surely, Rother. I met Dowie when QPR played a friendly at Windsor. Mind you, with the managers QPR have been through in the last two or three years, it must seem like decades !
Rother
4 years is correct, Dowie was sacked in Oct 2008. Also took the reins when Sousa was sacked in 2009.
