Ressies took the lead at Chesham thruogh triallist Nino Rusin but were unable to capitalise on a first half they dominated almost single handedly through the almighty Matt Seedel. The Chesham defence simply did not have an answer to the players strength and directness which caused them problems all night long. Chesham equalised through a penalty after Michael Murphy brought down one of their players in the box, dubious I thought as it seemed little contact was made but there was little protest from the Slough players, and the penalty was dispatched.

 

Murphy was again involved for Chesham's second as he was bundled off the ball under pressure only for the referee to deem the barge a fair challenege and the Chesham youngster slammed the ball home past the debutant Rebels goalie Bledian Fejzullahu. Great game to watch with both sides playing some neat stuff. I'll get a full report on the site once I have the Chehsam line up, but can I just stress it's worth going to see the reserves to watch Seedel alone. The lad is simply awesome at that level, and I hope he can make the cut in the first team squad as he'd be a huge asset.
