I read on the official site Margate won today.

Obviously result does not matter-just trust no injuries.

As Wellsie reports that Rook scored-good to read he is still on the scene-hope he is confirmed as a signing soon, before CK is gazumped !!!

Do not quote me but I think ? is ray Freeman (or maybe Prince). Any way he must be excellent as he wears a QPR training top.

I assume that must be Jacob Mingle - ex Tonbridge, Braintree, Eastbourne etc. Central midfielder with a pretty good pedigree. Can't think who but I'm sure somebody on here mentioned something about central midfielders once, or possibly twice. Struggling with Innocent, nobody obvious I can find with that surname.

Realy impressed with the work ethic that they all displayed today. As i was constantly reminded, Erith a Kent League side, but it was the football that was played on the park today that will upset a few sides next season regardless of their status.

Pace up front in abundance, playing the ball on the ground out of defense which brought the midfield into their own and then feeding the front men, was quality football.

The way Carl Rook held the ball up, and his first touch was impressive, and young Tom Murpy could feed off that all day. Overall, i thought good to watch, and looking forward to the season!

I always find it interesting to contemplate of the twenty or so players who took the field-how many will be contracted to the club by the start of the season-7 we already know of-i wonder how many others there will be-most look well worthy from what i read.

You normally find a few go elsewhere through their own fruition;but equally there is a late 'surprise' addition making an appearance in the latter friendlies

"Micheal". If I provide the bucket do you have enough cold water in your area to throw over and drown CK's work also our hopes.

He is putting a good squad together. Better than any in the last few years. I did not go yesterday, the reports I have had from reliable sources as well as Peter Coves post, tell me that these guy's are capable of playing the ball at ground level. Yes, some may fall by the wayside, others will turn up. Clubs in the higher leagues will start to shed surplus squad members as Margate has already done.

So I say Cheer up.

A long time since I used these words but, "Onwards and Upwards.

Given the obvious caveat that whatever happens in friendlies is irrelevant, I enjoyed yesterday. Rook is very good with his back to goal, Long took the eye in the first half. With him and Rhodes we would have two wingers in the team, and I can't remember the last time we could say that. The pair swapped at one point so we had 'inverted wingers' for a while, very continental.

This may help a bit Steve but certainly doesn't contain all the names involved. Dolby played for the Erith side on Saturday

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but why are Michaels always so negative?. Every time this guy posts on the forum, i feel like going upstairs, running a hot bath, and searching for a razor blade! Would love to meet the guy if he actualy comes to matches, and over a beer or two, put the world to right!
