A Rebel and a Saint
Finished 1-0. A good workout all round. Apparently our number 7 is called Omar and used to be in the Arsenal academy. I was quite impressed with the number 4.
3spirit
Thought Binfield's ground and hospitality was good but the game itself wasn't.Too scrappy.Having two quality players missing in Adam Logie and Danny Murphy, from the Holyport match, showed. Had a new forward/triallist called Sol[possibly Solomon?],he knew how to get into good positions but his finishing was poor.Doesn't seem like the type of striker we need.Too similar to what we've already got. However, better to have a fourth striker than not. Thought the other triallist,Sean ?,had a half decent game and seemed alone in midfield at times. It was a hot day and so the players you can forgive them for feeling drained,in this second pre-season match but some of them, you forgot were on the pitch! The other triallist Omar ?,you couldn't say much about as he hardly touched the ball,so not awe inspiring. Let's hope for an improvement Tuesday at Flackwell. Ian
"he knew how to get into good positions but his finishing was poor.Doesn't seem like the type of striker we need.Too similar to what we've already got" I assume the reference to similarity wasn't to do with the poor finishing, 3spirit?!! The one thing Sean and Danny can both do is take chances!
Chris
There are some bits on the game here: http://www.youtube.com/user/BinfieldFCTV Could not be there yesterday, but see Wooz was in the background by the dug-outs in Gary's shots. Anyone know why he did not play?
