Hamworthy Utd v Badshot Lea

3pm KO

Badshot Lea travel to Poole to play Wessex League side Hamworthy Utd, avoiding the predicted holiday traffic on the M3 and M27 hopefully.

Match and trip also being used as a team bonding stay in Bournemouth.

Sheerwater 0 v 3 Camberley

Bar a 15 minute perios in the 2nd third Camberley pretty much dominated and had it not been for the Sheerwater keeper it could well have been more

And he continued in the Reserve game and pevented Camberley being out of sight at half ttime. Game ended 3-1 to Camberley

Couple of Sheerwater lads caught my eye and good luck to them this year. Have a lot of time for Trevor and Chris.

Not a CC match, but might be of interest to Cove fans who have got to face Gloucestershire side Slimbridge soon:

Slimbridge 2-2 Clevedon Town

A far better game then what I saw on Thursday night. Slimbridge look and play like a Southern Premier side and could have (and maybe should have) beaten their visitors from down the M5 more convincingly.

Marvin Roberts was the Slimbridge danger-man (and Cove will have to do a man marking job on him and prevent deep crosses coming in off the flanks) and he scored the opening goal of the game. Daniel Holloway was a lively runner, and hesitation from Clevedon gave him a chance for 2-0 which he headed home following a Mick Bryant cross from the right. Clevedon, to their credit, didn't give up and hit two late goals on the break.

A great game, and on this sort of form Slimbridge will be on course for promotion this season.

Hamworthy Utd 1 v 1 Badshot Lea

An excellent friendly and played in good spirit. Two good sides who always looked to play football. We had 3 disallowed goals and also hit the bar. Created more chances and should of won but all in all an excellent game in the Poole sunshine. Anyway now its out in Bournemouth with all the squad!!!! I hate pre-season bonding sessions.

Knaphill 2 v 5 Raynes Park Vale

Good game of football today, RPV were a very strong organised side, closed us down extremely quickly, and played with a high tempo, the first half ended 1-1 with a great strike from our Hicham Abdullah from 30 yards out, the second half we played some great football down the flanks and we looked dangerous going forward, how ever we left ourselves open and got rightly punished for it.

Would like to say that the whole coaching team of RPV were all gentleman and top lads, I wish them luck for the season ahead.

The reserves fixture finished 0-2 to RPV, another good game and some pleasing performances from our youth players and trial it.

Chertsey Town next week, looking forward to it.
