A good steady performance showing the core of the players have an understanding and that the new players look like they will fit in well.

I thought Ashley Deeney and Dominic Rhone stood out a mile of the new lads. Great to see Ben Abbey amongst the goals as well. Ben isn't going to be first choice for much of the season but his goals when he does get an opportunity or from the bench are going to be vital for us.

Echo the above, Ashley deeney looked very comfortable at right back and Dominic Rhone looked good in left mid not sure about left back but going forward he was great and if he is any good in the air it would be interesting to see him play upfront. He is big, fast and has quick feet.

Decent workout against Holyport. Still look solid and difficult to break down as we did last season. Did not have Mason, Woozley and Ollie there tonight as well. Would have maybe have liked to have seen a couple more trialists as only had two subs, surely if were ganna have a reserve side this season were going to need more players?

Excellent first work-out.

 

Impressed with Dominic Rhone, especially in the advanced wing back role. Also Dave and Ashley Deeney looked good and the two trialists looked ok as well.

 

I think someone said one of the trialists was known as JK ex Hampton and Richmond/Walton Casuals and the other one was from Banbury.

Agree with you,Ian.Thought Dominic Rhone and Ashley Deeney look very promising acquisitions.Disappointed with Dave Deeney,though.He looked yards off the pace and unfit . I know it's very early pre-season so of course, he will improve.I hope!Gulp!

 

Thought Adam Logie looked fitter and had a good game last night,as did the ever young Ben Abbey !

Big downer that we had no new target man.Thought this would be a must this season.
