I suspect Fenn is now playing with other defenders who are quicker than he is. His positional sense is excellent but he needs to be the defender that the defence is built around (so the quicker players can do most of the running). He couldn't be that player in our set up. I also got the feeling he doesn't really feel comfortable playing in a back three with wing backs (probably for the same reason).
