J.T. ON TRIAL !!

Recommended Posts

Just finished reading a 'transcript' of yesterdays magistrates court hearing.

Having fully digested the conversation (and I use that word very loosely), between the two (alleged) central defenders, I can only say they are both as bad as each other.

Stop the case now and save this country from another waste of tax-payers money.

......... all comments welcomed on a summons !

Am bored of the 'trial' already.

From glancing at MSN (for all that it's worth) it seems that Anton was fine when he went off the pitch, and hadn't considered himself as abused.

I think there's a lot more to it than we're being told...

If John Terry is guilty, give him a fine and a 12 week ban from football and make him apologise to Anton in public and shake hands with him,

However, if he is innocent, then Anton Ferdinand needs to do the apologising.

Loosely - I'm surprised you haven't seen a transcript taking into account all the time you have on your hands

Not the report I read, but this covers it pretty well.

The sad thing about this case is that it's a no win situation as far as football is concerned.

If JT's found not guilty, then the coloured players will play the 'race-card' for ever more.

If JT IS found guilty, black players, especially in London are going to get even more stick from certain 'supporters', especially in London !

One thing I find strange is that when the 'Let's Kick Racism Out Of Football' bandwagon is in town, all of the people on it are black.

Now, I was always told that race is a two-way thing. I've not seen any white 'figureheads' of this campaign.

Similarly, I've not seen any straight people head up the Gay Rights lobby.

If we are all the same, which we are - we're living, breathing, sh*tting human beings, then for goodness sake let's put into place a Magna Carta 2 which says that we are all equal, no matter whether we are white, black, gay, straight, young, old etc. and we have the same human rights and responsibilities. Hopefully, I doubt many people would object to that - unless some animals want to be more equal than others (which in itself is facist, the very thing most of them complain about most).

Unfortunately we are not all the same, even in the UK woman are seen as second class citizen by certain sections of society, as are people with severe mental and physical disabilities, the stinking rich would never consider themselves the same as the poorest pauper, and anyone of an advanced age are certainly not considered to be the same by the NHS or this dreadful government who both seem to consider the elderly a nuisance for having the audacity too live to long.

It seems to me that the human race is programmed to inflict pain and death to everything that it comes into contact with despite our so called superior intellect, which is why apart from a few exception I prefer animals and plants to members of my own species.

Magistrate to Ashley Cole: "Most people would rather you stands up"

Ashley Cole: "I'd rather sit down."

Compare and Contrast -

One off duty policeman intervenes in a dispute and is shot dead by a madman - total hero

One off duty policeman reports JT for something he allegedly said and no-one heard on a playing field, thus costing the taxpayer a small fortune - total idiot (along with the CPS)

Exactly, this case has been nothing more than a waste of money and time.

A complete non-story, if ever there was one!

Not sure about the waste of money argument if the CPS had really gotten convincing, copper bottomed, all doubt removed evidence of his guilt and JT had been found guilty. As it is the Not Guilty verdict imo means someone has wasted our money because it seems more pointless.

If an offence is on the statutes then it should be, has to be investigated, even more so in a high profile very public case, not to do so says largely that some people are above the law but then the next phase comes in, is there enough evidence to prove an offence has been committed

When you start drawing lines as to what is a waste of money purely on the level of punishment being so low - a maximum fine of £2,500 - even more ridiculous because that represents such a small sum of money to the accused where does the line start or stop?

In this case a guilty verdict would actually have been more "punishing" then just the low level fine to a man like JT. Not being able to visit or work in the USA might have been devastating.

At the end of the day our money has been wasted by the CPS but should it really have come before a magistrate? What does anyone think a jury verdict might have been?

Loosely - Lets face it, John Terry was always going to be let off

Well the verdict seems to have revolved around whether JT made a racist remark or merely repeated it. I'm curious whether anyone thinks that a jury of 12 sensible people might have believed it was the former rather than a single person who instructed by matters of law believed the latter.
