Blue Banshee
I'm sure they will fill up with rescheduled matches....means I can go to training without worrying about missing the first 15 mins!
michael
There are normally 4 scheduled league midweek matches pre-christmas. By bringing the early rounds of cup and trophy forward they have allowed for replays instead. I miss those early season tuesday night games. Neither do i like the idea of both trophy and FA cup early rounds being played by end of september. Many clubs will be out of both cups by end of september with effectively nothing to play for the remainder of the season;which will further diminish attendances. Roll on 2013/14 with 24 clubs
michael
A bit slow on the uptake here. Realised nw whats been done. The two 'additional' midweek fixtures have been sacrificed-but there are no blank saturdays-so when you exit the cup-you have a pre-scheduled league fixture on the saturday of the next round. Makes sense really-and some credit to ryman for scheduling this way. Of course-if we 'break the rules ' and do progress to the next round-we will still get those tuesday nght games. For me-at least for this season-significant progress in the cups to get some money /stimulate interest is more important than a top 5 league position. Thats for 2013/
