Why is there smoking allowed in the west stand?

as the stand is obviously wooden, i thought that because of the Bradford Fire disaster smoking was banned in wooden stands by the FA??

Oi Digger...get lost...I couldn't stand a full match without me quota of ciggies to keep me nerves at bay....and thats where I stand... <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

 

the 'timber' in the stand is fire resistance and meets all safety requirements...we have the safety certificate...

 

you'll be smoking soon as well if you keep watching the urchins... <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

it won't all be plain sailing as the winter sets in... <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Hey, obviously set alight a hot point.

Feel the need go over to the other STAND, no problem there, it's all concrete!

Can't wait til smoking in public is banned, does that mean that you won't go out?

 

Nothing personal, but considering most of the stand on Saturday was full of kids, just think who is around you,what you say and what you do if often overheard and seen.

never taken personally digger me old mate...but smoking is legal....as is drinking...(licence permitting)....

 

I'm far to old to worry about having a bad influence on kids in football grounds and some of the worst language comes from that age group...

 

the stadium is safe...well run and orderley...we'll keep it that way...never fear...

 

they say america is a good place for non smokers... <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

well if thats the case Digger we've obviously done a good job as role models at the stadium...taught the kids how to turn nothing in to something...all through hard work...

 

pity that there are some who see it differently...but as you said on another thread...

 

everyone is entitled to an opinion...

 

however...without wishing to get involved in this...

 

you can take it from me that the riverside stand will remain smoking... <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
